Who Can Give

The CFC is the official workplace giving campaign of the federal government. For nearly 60 years, members of the federal community (DoD civilians, active duty service members, USPS personnel, other federal employees, and federal retirees) like you have contributed more than $8.4 billion to help improve the quality of life for all, making the CFC one of the largest and most successful workplace giving campaigns in the world. We invite the following audiences, wherever you are, to join the CFC community and make a difference in your local community, across the nation, and around the world.

Current Federal Employees

Federal employees represent a powerful, caring community through the CFC, dedicated to making a difference in local communities, across the nation, and around the world. Here is how the CFC works for current federal employees:

1. Choose your cause.
Whether you care about finding a cure for diseases, supporting military families, or promoting equality for all, the CFC has vetted charities for any cause you want to support. You can even give to multiple charities with one pledge.

2. Make your pledge.
The online pledge portal allows you to easily renew your pledge each year and offers the full range of pledge options:

  • Payroll deduction (the most popular!)
  • Credit/debit card
  • E-check/bank transfer
  • Volunteer hours

Paper pledge forms are also available.

3. Join the CFC community.
Share the causes you are passionate about. Participate in campaign events. Submit your selfie to Be the Face of Change. Send a message of gratitude to a CFC charity.

4. Help is on the way.
Thanks to your generosity, your chosen charities will make a difference in your local community, across the nation, and around the world.

Federal Retirees

After your years of public service, you might be missing giving through the CFC. The great news is, you can continue to make a positive impact by giving through your annuity. Here's how the CFC works for federal retirees:

1. Choose your cause.
The CFC allows members of the federal community, including retirees, to support causes you care about. Whether it is finding a cure for diseases, supporting military families, or promoting equality for all, the CFC has vetted charities for any cause you want to support. You can even give to multiple charities with one pledge.

2. Make your pledge.
The online pledge portal allows you to easily renew your pledge each year and offers the full range of pledge options:

  • Annuity deduction (the most popular option)
  • Credit/debit card
  • E-check/bank transfer

Need to make a required minimum distribution from your retirement account? We can help with that, too! Paper pledge forms are also available and can be mailed directly to the CFC Processing Center: CFC Processing Center, P.O. Box 7820 Madison, WI 53707-7820.
